Privacy notice
This notice describes the intended data handling for the initial version of Financial Calculators. It must receive legal and consent review before production analytics or advertising is enabled.
Calculator inputs and results
Calculations occur in your browser. The initial version has no account system or application database. Financial inputs are held in browser memory for the current page and are not intended to be transmitted to the site's server.
Calculator scenarios are saved in local storage only when you explicitly choose “Save to this browser.” A saved scenario can include financial assumptions and calculated results so it can be reused by another calculator on this site. Saved scenarios remain on the device and browser where they were created until you clear them through the site controls or your browser settings.
Share URLs
A calculator creates a share URL only when you explicitly use its Share action. The URL contains selected calculator inputs. Anyone who receives the URL may be able to read those assumptions and reproduce the result.
Share URLs may appear in browser history, synced browser data, bookmarks, clipboard history, messages, server request logs, or records kept by services through which you share them. Do not share a URL if its assumptions are sensitive. Raw calculator inputs and generated share URLs must not be included in analytics parameters.
Theme preference and browser storage
The site uses local storage for your theme preference and for financial scenarios you explicitly save. You can remove saved scenarios using the calculator's Clear saved data action or clear all site data through your browser. If local storage is unavailable, preferences and scenarios cannot be saved.
Print and CSV exports
Print or PDF output and downloaded comma-separated value (CSV) files are created at your request and may contain calculator assumptions and results. These files are controlled by you after creation. They may remain in downloads, backups, cloud-synced folders, printer queues, or documents you share. The site does not upload exported CSV data as part of the export action.
Google Analytics, advertising, and consent
The site is designed to support Google Analytics and Google AdSense, but those services must not be enabled in production until legal and consent review is complete. When enabled, they will load through consent-aware controls. Where consent is required, nonessential analytics or advertising storage will not load before the appropriate choice, and access to privacy choices will remain available.
Analytics, if enabled with the required consent, is limited by the site's design to coarse events such as a calculator view, completion of a valid calculation, chart-tab selection, or use of share, print, and CSV actions. Entered values, income bands, home prices, rates, balances, result amounts, generated share URLs, and CSV contents must not be sent as analytics event parameters.
Google services may process device, browser, network, interaction, cookie, or similar information according to their configurations and Google's own policies. Applicable storage and retention periods depend on the final configuration and information supplied by Google; these details must be completed and reviewed before the services are enabled. Consent choices may limit nonessential storage where required, and browser controls may also be used to clear or block site data.
Your choices
- Avoid Share, Print, and Export actions when you do not want assumptions recorded outside the current page.
- Delete generated files and clear browser history, clipboard history, or local site data using your device and browser controls.
- Review or change privacy choices through the site's consent-settings control when Google services are active.
- Use browser privacy controls to restrict cookies or other storage, understanding that some preferences may not persist.
Policy status
This privacy notice is draft implementation copy. The identity of the site operator, final third-party configurations, provider retention details, applicable contact information, and any region-specific rights must be added through legal and consent review before launch.
